Alright. Lets have these sections go the way they are intended.

What's your favorite game of all time and why?

Mine: Contra for the NES. (Showing my age there. NES stands for Nintendo Entertainment System btw)

Why: It pretty much paved the way for the shooter games we have today. Was a side scroller, not a fps, but still had the dna from which all of the games today were spawned. Was incredibly difficult without the code but a lot of fun.

My favorite game of all time? Probably Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask. Why? Because it has an amazing storyline and such wonderful compositions (yes, I know. I'm lame because I look for good music in a video game).

Thanks for responding guys. I never really got into those zelda games. The only one I really have all that much time playing is the original LoZ on the NES. Link is a straight badass on Smash Bros games though. One of my favorite characters on there.

I totally understand the loving of the game music. I think the Uncharted theme is some of the best video game music ever writen. Same goes with the Halo theme. Music can really make or break a game/movie.

Smash brothers? Why didn't I think of that. Melee IS the best gameplay & music wise.

Counterstrike 1.6 is the best game of all time its been for over 6 years on now and the game is still bieng played although the main releases are only: CS Source, CS 1.6 and CS:GO

Smash Brothers Melee is definitely up there for me.
